Fältet med epostadress används för meddelanden som skickas från Anslagstavlan. Exempel kan vara meddelande med lösenord, prenumerationer och andra meddelanden om tex PM.
Den publika epostadressen är den som andra ser när de ser din profil.
Kanske är det så att du inte vill att andra ser din epostadress, medan vi behöver den för administrativa ändamål. Epostadressen syns endast för admin på detta Forum.
En del användare föredrar att ange sin epostadress på ett sätt som förhindrar automatisk spamming (skräppost) till exempel adress@no.spam.domain.com.
På så sätt kan andra användare lista ut adressen, medan spam-robotar får problem att skörda adressen för att sedan spamma din epostadress.

Cookies används för att hålla reda på din inloggningsinformation och vilka inlägg du läst, så att du slipper hålla reda på det själv.
Om du inte accepterar cookies kommer flera funktioner att sättas ur spel.
Denna länk förflyttar dig till en sida där du kan skriva in ditt användarnamn eller epostadress samt ditt lösenord. Tänk på att lösenord är känsliga för versaler och gemener.

Använd denna checklista för att få hjälp med din inloggning:
1) Var noggrann med ditt lösenord. Lösenord är skifteskänsliga, det är alltså skillnad på "A" och "a".
2) Kontrollera att din webbläsare tillåter cookies och att du valt en lämplig säkerhetsnivå. En hög säkerhetsnivå kommer automatiskt att neka cookies, och du kommer inte att kunna använda forumet som det är tänkt. Det kan vara aktuellt att kontrollera inställningen på din brandvägg, eftersom detta forum kommunicerar med din dator. Lägg gärna till denna sida som betrodd plats.

Andra program har säkert motsvarande inställningar. Har du problem med detta kan du få hjälp av tillverkaren av din webbläsare eller en datakunnig i din närhet.
3) Logga ut med hjälp av länken "Logga ut" i övre högra hörnet. Logga sedan in på nytt.
4) Efter inloggning kan du behöva ladda om sidan med din webbläsares "Refresh" eller knappen F5 för att vara säker på att autentiseringen genomförs.
5) Om inget av ovanstående fungerar, kan du försöka tömma cookies för denna sajt genom att använda Cookiesverktyget.
6) Om du fortfarande inte kan logga in, bör du gå till logg-in sidan och klicka på länken Har du glömt din login-information?.
Skriv in din riktiga epostadress och ett tillfälligt lösenord kommer att automatiskt att mejlas till den adress du uppgett vid din registrering.
Titeln är kopplat till hur många inlägg du gjort.
Alla har en titel på detta forum, och det visas i anslutning till ditt namn. en del är automatiskt kopplade till hur många inlägg man gjort, medan andra kan vara kopplade till uppgifter eller befattningar eller speciella titlar.

Du behöver inte vara orolig om du glömt ditt lösenord. Du kan med lätthet få ett tillfälligt lösenord mejlat till den adress du uppgav vid registreringen. Gå till logg-in sidan och klicka på länken Har du glömt din login-information?.
Lösenordet mejlas endast till den adress som finns registrerad på aktuell användare. Det går alltså inte att stjäla lösenordet på detta sätt.
Du kan byta lösenord när som helst.
Klicka "MIN SIDA" och därefter "MIN PROFIL" i menyn. Ändra lösenord i bägge fälten och klicka på "SKICKA".Se till så att du kommer ihåg ditt lösenord.
Du kan lägga till en bildlänk i ditt inlägg eller signatur. Bilden bör finnas på en webbserver som du har tillgång till.
Använd denna  knapp för att infoga en bild från en webbadress.

Du gör likadant med bilder till din signatur.
Klicka på som finns på varje sida. Välj min profil och därefter "Mina inställningar".
Gå till "Min signatur" längst ned på sidan och skriv in hur du vill ha din signatur.
OBSERVERA att vissa sajter som tex geting.se där du kan lägga bilder, inte tillåter direkt länkning till bilden. Kommandot [IMG] har alltså ingen effekt. Använd istället en länkning till sidan där bilden finns.
För att hålla detta forum så snabbt som möjligt uppmanas du att begränsa storleken på en eventuell bild i din signatur till 35kb.

We ask that you keep your images relatively small. As a rule, please do not exceed 600 x 125 pixels and/or 35k for a signature image. This will ensure that the forums load quickly for all users.
Du missar många möjligheter annars. Du kan göra egna personliga inställningar genom att gå till "Min profil" och därefter "Egna inställningar".
Du kan till exempel välja utseende (skin), hur många inlägg som skall visas samtidigt, om du vill se andra användares bilder med mera. Du kan när som helst ändra dessa inställningar.
Välj rubriken så att det beskriver ditt inlägg så bra som möjligt. Tex "Problem med V4 som inte går jämnt". är mycket bättre än "Problem" eller "Fråga från nybörjare".
Dels underlättar det för andra att svara på ditt inlägg, dels är det lättare att hitta när man söker efter inlägg med ett visst tema eller liknande.
En stor fördel med ett forum som detta är att frågor som besvarats lätt kan hittas av alla.
Innan du ställer en fråga, är det en god regel att söka igenom forumen med hjälp av sökfunktionen. Det är bland annat därför valet av rubrik är så viktig

Om undersökningar är aktiverade startar du en genom att påbörja ett nytt inlägg. Under textrutan väljer du "undersökningshanteraren". Ledtexten guidar dig vidare.
Du kan ändra antalet inlägg som visas på en sida genom att ändra under "Min profil" och "Mina Inställningar" Du kan välja en heltalssiffra mellan 1 och 99. Grundinställningen är inlägg per sida.
Quick Reply is made as a "Quick Response" block, so you can make a response to a post (or thread) before you forget or as you read them. Quick Reply is meant as a "no thrills" response box, as it's just there for a fast/non-formatted response.
Reply however brings you to a "Full Response" page that allows for heavy posting.
You can also click the "Full Reply" button from the Quick Reply box which will forward you (and all of your Quick Reply text) to the Full Reply page.
Quote will quote the users text to the Full Reply page. Quick Quote will quote the users text to the Quick Reply box below the thread.
Click the "My Profile" link from the "My Stuff" dropdown on the Forum Navigation island.
Using Gallery Forums are just like using any other forums... However, you can post images too!
After you create your post (subject and post, both required) you can click on the "Image Manager" link.
Adding images are as easy as:
1. Click "Browse" and a navigation area will appear that shows your computers files, navigate around to locate the image you'd like to upload. Once located, click on the image and select "open"; you can also choose to add a description (note that in v7.2 you do not have the option to change the description once another image is added).
2. If you wish to add another image, repeat step one; otherwise, select "done".
From here, just press submit, and your new "Gallery Posting" should appear for users to comment on your image(s).
When creating a new thread or response, you'll see a "File Manager" link on the "Full Reply" or "New Post" page. When selecting this option you'll receive a popup which will allow you to attach files to your post.
Steps:
1. Click "File Manager" to bring up the "Attachment" window.
2. Click "Browse" to bring up the file browser window; this will allow you to browse your computer for any files or images you wish to upload; please note that you're bound by whatever the "allowed file type" setting is for the board.
3. Click "open" on the file you wish to upload.
4. Enter a description of what the file is (if you want to).
5. Click "add file" to add another file, or "done" to close the window and complete your posting.
Please note that you must enter some text in both the "subject" and "post" fields when responding otherwise you will receive an error; you cannot just respond with an attachment ;).
Watching a Forum
Enter the Forum and Select "Add Forum to Watched Forums" from the "Forum Options" dropdown.
Watching a Topic
Enter the Topic and Select "Add Topic to your Watched Topics" option from the "Topic Options" dropdown.
Managing Watch Lists
Select "My Watch Lists" from the "My Stuff" dropdown, from here you can select the type of Watch List that you wish to edit and by clicking the "Edit Watched Topics" (or "Edit Watched Forums" or "Edit Watched Users") link you can remove them or toggle the "Email Notification" option.

Toggling the Default "EMail Watchedlist" Options
Select "My Preferences" from the "My Stuff" dropdown. From here you can manage the "By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?" option.
EMailing a Post or Thread
To email a post, simply navigate to the post and select "email post" from the bottom set of buttons (near reply, quote, notify, etc).

When viewing a Private Message, simply click the "EMail Topic" button from the bottom set of buttons (near reply, quote, etc).
RSS Feeds for Forums
For forums which have an RSS Feed configured for them, you can enter the forum and select the feed link from the "Forum Options" dropdown.
My Feeds
If the administration has enabled the "My Feeds" option, you can manage RSS feeds from the "Feeds" link in the "My Stuff" dropdown in the navigation area.
From the My Feeds area you can see all of the RSS Feeds available to you, including all of the forums which have individual feeds. You will also be able to retrieve the fees for your inbox and the global feeds for recent topics. Please note that these may or may not be available based on admin preferences.
The username colors generally specify a users status. Some select users can can also have special colors signified by the Administration.
